POLICE LOG for April 24: Fight At Gas Station; Dog Left In Vehicle; Speeding Dirt Bike

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, April 24, 2016:

  • Police noted the street sign on Sprucewood Road was learning over. Police contacted DPW. (8:58am)
  • A caller reported a red dirt bike was being operated at a high rate of speed on King Street, last seen headings toward Broad Street. Police were unable to locate. (12:11pm)
  • A gray 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300 and a gray 2001 Toyota Camry wer involved in a crash, with no injuries, at Aldrich Road and Forest Street. (2:240PM
  • Police was flagged down about a dog being left in a vehicle in the Shriners parking lot. Police observed the windows are open a little and didn’t believe the vehicle was hot inside.  Police made contact with the owner, who said the dog is a service dog, he is making frequent checks on the dog and the Shriners will not allow it inside during the circus. (5:44pm)
  • Todd McNally (44, Methuen) was placed in protective custody after a Lopez Road caller reported an unwanted intoxicated male on private property. (9:02pm)
  • A caller reported a fight in the Shell Station parking lot on Main Street.  Victim refused medical attention from Fire Department, despite contusion under eye, and said she would go to hospital on her own and then press charges. (11:48pm)
