SEATTLE, WA — In 1995, Starbucks customers across the United States and Canada got their first sip of Starbucks Frappuccino blended beverage. There were only two flavors to choose from, Coffee and Mocha. Back then there was no domed lid or green straw. But in that first week, over 200,000 Frappuccino beverages were served – more than double the company’s projections. An icon was born.
To celebrate the 21st anniversary of the iconic beverage, Starbucks Birthday Cake Frappuccino blended beverage returns to participating Starbucks stores in the U.S. and Canada April 28 to May 2.
The limited-time beverage features a creamy blend of vanilla bean and hazelnut, topped with pink whipped cream. Starbucks first introduced Birthday Cake Frappuccino blended beverage last year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Frappuccino.
