WILMINGTON, MA — Earlier this week, the Town of Wilmington issued an RFP (request for proposal) to secure a landscaping contractor to upgrade the softball field (Aprile Field) at Town Park.
The request for proposal outlines several of the field’s deficiencies:
- Infield material has too much silt and fine sand and becomes very dusty whey dry
- Inconsitences with field dimensions
- Excessive lips and elevation changes between the infield clay & outfield turf
The field renovation to address these issues would need to be completed no later than October 15, 2016.
Proposals are due to the Town Manager’s Office by Thursday, May 26 at 11am.
