POLICE LOG for April 22: Theft At Cemetery; Car vs. Motorcycle; Tractor Trailer Catches Wires

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, April 22, 2016:

  • A red motorcycle and a 2016 Ford Explorer were involved in a crash at Main Street and Clark Street. No injuries noted. (7:50am)
  • A deceased cat in the roadway at Church Street and Adams Street was causing a traffic hazard. Police notified DPW for retrieval. (8:47am)
  • A gray 2002 Toyota Camry struck bushes outside of Salvation Army, causing minor damage to the bushes, but no damage to vehicle. (9:16am)
  • A caller reported an angel statue was stolen from a family member’s grave site at Wildwood Cemetery. (11:09am)
  • A tractor trailer got caught up in a low hanging wire at Industrial Way and West Street. Police notified Comcast and Verizon. (12:42pm)
  • A blue 2012 and a gray 2014 Kia Sorento were involved in a crash on Main Street. Both vehicles towed. Airbag deployment. No injuries noted. (2:45pm)
  • A foreclosed house on Brand Avenue had its front door kicked in. (4:51pm)
  • A Carolyn Road caller reported receiving a scam IRS call. (4:54pm)
