WILDCAT WAKEUP: WHS Girls Tennis Loses To Watertown, 3-2

WILMINGTON, MA — After a week-and-half layoff, the WHS Girls Varsity Tennis Team (1-3) returned to action on Monday afternoon at Wilmington High.  While the Wildcats excelled in doubles play, they were shutout in singles play, falling to Watertown, 3-2.

  • Wilmington freshman Emily Hill fell to Lilian Marr, 6-4, 6-4.
  • Wilmington junior Sam Maragioglio fell to Michelle Aftandilian, 6-3, 6-3.
  • Wilmington senior Jess Nussbaum fell to Rachel Aftandilian, 6-4, 6-1.
  • Wilmington juniors Christina Woods and Lou Schramm defeated Sofia Farhadi and Lily Pennington, 6-0, 6-0.
  • Wilmington’s junior Christina Wright and sophomore Lauren Field defeated Valentina Gaete and Elza Skahhverdora, 6-1, 6-1.

NEXT UP: The WHS Girls Tennis Team (1-3) take on Woburn on Tuesday, April 26 at 3:30pm at Wilmington High.
