WILMINGTON, MA — After a week-and-half layoff, the WHS Girls Varsity Tennis Team (1-3) returned to action on Monday afternoon at Wilmington High. While the Wildcats excelled in doubles play, they were shutout in singles play, falling to Watertown, 3-2.
- Wilmington freshman Emily Hill fell to Lilian Marr, 6-4, 6-4.
- Wilmington junior Sam Maragioglio fell to Michelle Aftandilian, 6-3, 6-3.
- Wilmington senior Jess Nussbaum fell to Rachel Aftandilian, 6-4, 6-1.
- Wilmington juniors Christina Woods and Lou Schramm defeated Sofia Farhadi and Lily Pennington, 6-0, 6-0.
- Wilmington’s junior Christina Wright and sophomore Lauren Field defeated Valentina Gaete and Elza Skahhverdora, 6-1, 6-1.
