WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, April 19, 2016:
- Police noted the porta potty at the Woburn Street School was knocked over. (4:39am)
- A deceased cat was located on the sidewalk on Leonard Lane. (9:59am)
- Caller reported a road rage incident. A black 2007 Chevy Avalon refused o merge, struck a caller’s side view mirror, and cut the caller off on Ballardvale Street. Caller did not want to see officer, just wanted incident logged. (10:29am)
- A Broad Street resident reported a case of tax fraud. (10:34am)
- A caller reported the crosswalk signals at the intersection of Routes 38 and 62 were not working. (4:37pm)
- Police received report of a handful of youths walking on train tracks, last seen heading towards Burlington Avenue. Police received report of “something smoldering on tracks.” Fire Department responded. (6:31pm)
- An Aldrich Road resident reported his social security number was used to file a tax return. (7:17pm)
- A caller reported a bicyclist was towing a small infant in a trailer, in the middle of the road, on Hopkins Street. Police were unable to locate the parties. (7:21pm)
- John Kelley (40, Somerville) was arrested on warrants. Peabody Police picked up Kelley from Wilmington’s station. (10:09pm)
- Jeffrey J. Vellucci (54, Saugus) was arrested on an OUI (Liquor) – 2nd offense. Vellucci was pulled over on Lowell Street, with heavy front-end damage and a missing tire. Velucci’s vehicle fit the description of a vehicle sought by the Woburn Police for an earlier hit & run. (11:32pm)
