WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington-based iPods for Wounded Veterans was recognized as the VA Bedford Medical Center’s Volunteer Service Organization of the Year on Sunday, April 17.
iPods for Wounded Veterans received the award in recognition of its sincere, dedicated and devoted services for veterans cared for at the Bedford VA Medical Center.
“Your efforts for providing iPods to our wounded veterans and their recognition at the Statehouse acknowledges their importance to the U.S. and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts,” said VA Bedford Medical Center Director Christine Croteau.
iPod for Wounded Veterans Chairman Paul Cardello thanked State Rep. James Micelli (D-Wilmington) for his support of the organization, as well as Veterans of Foreign Wars 2458 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 47, of Wilmington and Billerica.
Teamster Business Agent David Renshaw (Local 769 Miami, Florida U.S. Southern Representative) and Teamster Captain David Bourne (Airline Division National Spokesperson) were also thanked.
