WILDCAT WAKEUP: Grecco & Kannally Shine In WHS Baseball’s First Loss

WILMINGTON, MA — The WHS Baseball Team (1-1) dropped to .500 after suffering a 10-3 loss to Lexington (1-2) at Lexington High School on Friday.

Lexington roughed up the Wildcats pitchers for 10 runs on 8 hits in the first 4 innings. Wilmington’s reliever Chris Grecco was able to stop the bleeding and keep Lexington scoreless for the last 2 2/3 innings, allowing just 1 hit while recording 3 strikeouts.

Offensively, Justin Kannally led the Wildcats by going 3 for 4, with an RBI and a run. Grecco and Connor Zaya each picked up a run and RBI as well.  Danny Gracia, Matt Spurr and David Woods also contributed with at least one hit.

NEXT UP: The WHS Baseball Team (1-1) hosts Tewksbury on Monday, April 18 at 1pm at Wilmington High.
