WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, April 9, 2016:
- Michael Joseph Nocek (25, Charlestown) was arrested for an OUI (Liquor); possession of ammunition without a FID card; and marked lanes violations. Nocek was arrested on Burlington Avenue after State Police contacted dispatch reporting an erratic driver on the highway. (1:27am)
- A customer of D&D Lock on Main Street thought the business was open and accidentally tripped the alarm while opening the door. Police contacted the owner, who arrived to secure his building. (2:35pm)
- A Rustic Lane caller reported a neighbor was throwing bouncy balls into his yard. Caller called back, after speaking with neighbor, and was satisfied with excuse. Police still visited to speak with both parties and restore the peace. (6:24pm)
- William Walsh (26, Hull) was issued a summons for the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, no inspection sticker, and failure to wear a seatbelt. Walsh was pulled over near U-Haul on Main Street. (6:25pm)
- A caller requested an officer retrieve syringes on River Street, near the fire hydrant. Police picked up and brought back to the station for disposal. (6:27pm)
- A Moore Street caller reported her cat got out. She requested an officer to hep her look for the cat in the woods. Caller was able to eventually locate her cat and brought it back inside her home. (7:41pm)
- A caller reported a young white male wearing a t-shirt stumbling down Main Street with a brown paper bag in his hand. Police were unable to locate the man in question. (8:53pm)
