POLICE LOG for April 8: 10-12 Kids Causing Trouble At Panera; Complaint Over Jehovah’s Witnesses

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, April 8, 2016:

  • Morgan Road resident called to complain of door-to-door solicitors in the neighborhood. Police responded.  Solicitors were Jehovah’s witnesses. (10:50am)
  • Burger King manager reported a “flim flam” incident that occurred last night. Police responded and viewed surveillance footage. (11:04am)
  •  A caller from Transwetern on Ballardvale Street reported a pickup truck had been parked in its lot for the past week.  Police checked and the vehicle was not reported stolen. Police may have located owner’s name and asked caller to check to see if he is an employee. Police explained the procedure if the vehicle needed to be removed. (11:14am)
  • An anonymous customer reported 10-12 youths were causing a disturbance at Panera Bread. Employees asked the youths to leave. Youths then caused a disturbance in the parking lot.  Police were unable to locate the youths. (3:10pm)
  • Police received call from mom that her 2 year-old was locked in their bathroom. Mother had broken the door handle attempting to open the door.  Mother was able to gain access for police arrived. (4:40pm)
  • A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the driveway by the town’s watershed. Police investigated and found individuals talking and smoking. Police advised them to staff off town property and sent them on their way. (11:16pm)
