POLICE LOG for April 7: Unfounded Reports of Gun Shots; 1 Arrest

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, April 7, 2016:

  • Shawn M. Conley (28, Tewksbury) was arrested on two outstanding warrants on failure to appear in court. (12:42pm)
  • A Shady Lane resident reported that town-owned cement poles in front of his property was damaged by a vehicle that left the area. Police notified DPW. (5:00pm)
  • Police was notified of an erratic operator coming from Tewksbury on Main Street. Caller reported a white SUV with Utah plates that was “all over the road.” Police spoke with driver, who was from out of town, lost and looking for directions. Police assisted with directions and sent driver on his way. (6:18pm)
  • Police engaged in “community policing” at the Ice Cream Social at Wildwood. (6:20pm)
  • Ryan C. Pennie (23, Wilmington) was issued a summons for having an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, and failure to wear his seatbelt. (8:33pm)
  • Police received report of what sounded like “muffled gun shots” on Middlesex Avenue Caller described a dark colored sedan leaving the parking lot shortly after. Police responded and situation checked OK. (10:43pm)
  • Police received report of a young girl wearing a backpack and red jacket stating on the tracks at the North Wilmington train station. Police responded, checked the area, and could not locate any girl. (11:38pm)
