LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Alefantis Announces Write-In Candidacy For Housing Authority

Dear Editor,

I am writing to announce my write-in candidacy for member of Wilmington Housing Authority. Since moving to Wilmington this past July, my family has had an excellent experience in our community and has already made many memories. I would like to be a member of the Wilmington Housing Authority as a way to give back to and support our great town.

Born and raised in Massachusetts to a tight-knit Greek family, my name is Ioannis, but I have always went by the English translation “John.” I am now raising my own family here in Wilmington with my wife Laureen, who works as a registered nurse in labor and delivery. We have two beautiful children and one on the way this June.

A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I served our country for 4 years before being honorably discharged in 2002. I currently work for Cubby Oil and Energy as an HVAC technician and commercial truck driver. With experience in both public service and working with members of the community, I would be a successful and effective member of Wilmington Housing Authority.

Thank you for your consideration. Please do not hesitate to contact with any questions or concerns. I hope you will consider writing me in as Wilmington Housing Authority member on Saturday, April 23, 2016, and I look forward to your support.

Sincerely,

John Alefantis
