Dear Wilmington Residents,
It is with excitement and enthusiasm that I write this letter in support of Kevin Caira as a candidate for the Wilmington Board of Selectmen. In my opinion, we have an opportunity on Saturday, April 23rd to elect a candidate that has all the necessary core qualities and attributes of an ideal Selectman to lead our town over the next three (3) years and into the future.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Kevin as a person and a community leader for several years and it is my honor to call him my friend. Over the years, I have continued to admire and respect not only Kevin, but also the entire Caira family who have all dedicated so much time and effort over decades for the betterment of our community. Their family legacy of philanthropy and volunteerism is extraordinary. It was no surprise to me when seats became available on the Board of Selectmen that Kevin Caira immediately stepped into action and announced his candidacy. Kevin’s long standing tradition of service to others and his willingness to support various town projects & initiatives are remarkable.
Over the past 6 years, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Kevin as a member of the Wildcat Athletic Alumni & Friends Organization and as a member of the Yentile Farm Development Committee. My experience working with Kevin has been very positive and I have observed first hand Kevin’s superior work ethic and keen ability to get things done. Kevin is intelligent, hardworking, detail orientated, has excellent communication skills, is a team player, is a critical thinker and a creative problem solver. If elected, I believe Kevin will hit the ground running on Day 1 and will be a great asset to the Wilmington Board of Selectmen and to the residents of the Town of Wilmington for many years to come.
Kevin has a long history of impressive accomplishments both personally and professionally. For years, Kevin has volunteered to coach youth sports at various levels for both baseball and basketball. He has also been a longtime supporter of the Wilmington Band Parents and their programs, a member of the Wilmington Knights of Columbus and remains very actively involved in the Wilmington Sons of Italy. Kevin has held many prominent positions within the Sons of Italy at the local, state and national levels and he has spearheaded numerous programs and fundraising drives in support of many important town initiatives. Kevin is currently a Retirement Administrator for the City of Amesbury and prior to assuming his current position, he worked as an administrator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Retirement System for 21 years.
In closing, please join me on Saturday, April 23rd in voting to elect a very deserving candidate, Kevin Caira, to the Wilmington Board of Selectmen. Kevin is the right choice and will be committed to ensuring that the Town of Wilmington continues to be a great place to live, work and raise a family. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Judith L. O’Connell
