POLICE LOG for April 4: Theft Caught On Camera; Car vs. Pole; Snowblowing Etiquette

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, April 4, 2016:

  • Carli Costa (36, Woburn) was issued a summons for the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. Costa was stopped on Route 125 & Andover Street. (12:52am)
  • A wire was reported down over the foot bridge on Main Street. Police put up caution tape and notified RMLD and Verizon. (9:35am)
  • A Faneuil Driver caller was concerned about neighborhood dogs going onto this property.  His kids are afraid of the dogs. Caller requested to speak to Animal Control Officer. (11:11am)
  • A Marion Street resident reported a car slid into his van while it was parked. Police responded and confirmed. (12:11pm)
  • A black 2005 Nissan Altima struck a pole and drove onto a lawn on Shawsheen Avenue. Pole appeared to be moved slightly. Verizon was notified. No injuries to driver. Vehicle towed. (12:45pm)
  • A cell phone was stolen from Speedway on Main Street. Station has the culprit on video. (2:04pm)
  • A black 2016 Chevy Impala and a red 2013 Ford F350 were involved in a minor crash at Lowell Five Bank on Main Street. (3:44pm)
  • Police received a complaint of a Jordan Street resident snowplowing his driveway with the snow winding up in the road on Salem Street.  Police advised the resident. (6:52pm)
  • Police notified Comcast of a downed wire on Laurel Avenue. (8:37pm)
