POLICE LOG for April 2: Sonic Employee Arrested; Kids Misbehaving

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, April 2, 2016:

  • A male party was loitering in the CVS parking lot. Police sent him on his way. Another party who had been with the male was “uncooperative” and “rode off on a scooter.” (3:18am)
  • A Main Street resident reported that sometime overnight, his mailbox was knocked down. (7:55am)
  • A Lorin Avenue resident reported that a large rock (40+ pounds) was moved into her driveway. She wanted the incident logged. (8:33am)
  • A Chapman Avenue caller reported an older-model, silver Toyota sedan operated by an unknown black male was driving slowly through the neighborhood at 11:30pm last night and 5:30am this morning. Caller wanted the incident logged. (11:10am)
  • A Grove Avenue resident reported he has video of his mailbox being destroyed last night at approximately 10:34pm, but it’s of poor quality. (11:41am)
  • A suspicious bag was reported by the playground at the Shawsheen School.  Police examined its content and contacted the student to which the bag belonged. (5:15pm)
  • A caller reported four kids were sitting on the train tracks at the base of the Lake Street Bridge. Police were unable to locate the kids. (5:57pm)
  • Police received report of youths ringing doors bell and running way on Loumac Road. Police were unable to locate the youths. (8:15pm)
  • A male party flagged down an officer on Glen Road and stated someone just attempted to kick down his front door. Man filed a report at the police station. (8:24pm)
  • Janiti Roman (19, Wilmington) was arrested on a warrant.  Police were called to Sonic after Roman, who works there, and another female employee became engaged in a verbal argument. (10:50pm)
