WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, April 1, 2016:
- A caller reported her parked vehicle was struck in the parking lot at the RMV and the involved party is denying he struck the vehicle. Police responded and noted a minor scratch. Paperwork was exchanged. (11:27am)
- A walk-in party reported his carbon monoxide detector was sounding. Fire Department responded to his Church Street home. (11:39am)
- An employee at Rizzo’s on Main Street found an injured pigeon with an ankle tag. Police gave the caller the numbers for Ringmasters and Wilmington Wild Things. (3:17pm)
- Christoper Hope (28, Haverhill) was arrested on warrants at Colonial Park Liquors on Lowell Street. (4:43pm)
- A caller reported a white van parked at the West Intermediate School Van was first seen at 3:30pm by caller’s son at the after school program. Van was still there at 4:15pm when he was picked up. There was a white male with glasses in the van, reportedly watching the children. Caller thought it was suspicious. The police looked through the parking lots on Carner Lane and could not locate the van. (5:08pm)
- A March Road caller reported 5 or 6 youths were in the area and “seemed up to no good.” When the caller approached them, they ran off towards Bay Street. (8:19pm)
- A Cumberland Farms employee reported a male and female were causing a disturbance for refusing to sell the male party a cigar due to lack of identification. Couple yelled profanities and kicked the glass door to the building. Police pulled over parties at Speedway and told they they’re no longer welcome at Cumberland Farms. Employees will get a no-trespass order. (9:57pm)
- A Grove Avenue caller reported 3 teenagers vandalized the mailbox at her neighbor’s house. Police responded and noticed four other mailboxes knocked off their posts. Police spoke with three juveniles and their parents at a home on Grove Avenue. Caller could not positively identify them. (10:45pm)
