LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Robert Peterson Sr. Supports Bendel For Selectman

Dear Editor,

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter in support of Greg Bendel in his candidacy for the Board of Selectmen for the Town of Wilmington. Greg and his wife, the former Andrea DePasquale, are lifelong Wilmington residents and have recently purchased a home in Wilmington. I have known Greg personally for the last 10 years, and I cannot speak highly enough about his integrity and his commitment to the Town of Wilmington.

As an elected member of the Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational School Committee for the past 21 years, I have had the pleasure of working with Greg in his capacities as a teacher and a coach. Greg Bendel is held in high esteem at Shawsheen for his dedication to his work, and for the enthusiasm that he brings to the classroom, and the basketball court, on a daily basis. Greg Bendel is the man that you want to be teaching and coaching your child. We are truly fortunate to have him as a teacher and a coach at Shawsheen Tech.

Greg Bendel’s commitment and enthusiasm also extend to his endeavors in the Town of Wilmington. Greg is an active member of the Wilmington Knights of Columbus, and he was an enthusiastic member of the Wilmington 4.0 Campaign Committee to promote the new Wilmington High School. In addition, Greg runs several community basketball camps for children in Wilmington, and is very active in Local Heroes.

For the past five years, Greg has also demonstrated his commitment to the Town of Wilmington as a member of the Wilmington Housing Authority, having served as its Chairman in 2014.

In short, Greg Bendel is exactly what we should look for when choosing a candidate for the office of Selectmen. He is diligent, honest, hardworking and committed to representing each and every one of us if elected.
