Town Moderator Rob Peterson Interviews School Committee Candidates For WCTV

WILMINGTON, MA — Town Moderator Robert Peterson Jr. and Wilmington Community Television Executive Director Shaun Neville recently interviewed the three candidates running for the Wilmington School Committee.

Peterson and Neville interviewed candidates Margareet “Peggy” Kane, Julie Broussard, and Tom Talbot as part of Wilmington Community Television’s new “Candidate Conversations” series.

The interviews were informal conversations aimed to”give voters an idea of who the candidates are and what their message is to the community.”

Peterson asked Kane and Broussard the following questions:

  • How Long Have You Been On The School Committee?
  • Why Are You Running For School Committee Again?
  • How Has The School Committee Changed Since You Were Elected?
  • What Do You Like Most About Serving On The School Committee?
  • What Issue(s) Do You Wish To Focus On Next?

Kane was also asked if being a teacher motivated her to run for School Committee and what the differences are between running unopposed vs. running opposed. Each also got an opportunity at the end of the interview to address the voters.

Neville asked Talbot the following questions:

  • Why Are You Running For School Committee
  • Describe Your Involvement In The Community?
  • How Do You Like Campaigning?
  • What Issue(s) Do You Wish To Focus On When Elected?
  • After Attending Several School Committee Meetings, What Do You Think Of Them?
  • Opportunity To Address The Voters
