Town Moderator Rob Peterson Interviews Selectmen Candidates For WCTV

WILMINGTON, MA — Town Moderator Robert Peterson Jr. recently interviewed three of the four candidates running for the Wilmington Board of Selectmen.

Peterson interviewed candidates Greg Bendel, Kevin Caira and Joseph Lavino as part of Wilmington Community Television’s new “Candidate Conversations” series.  Candidate Tom Miller did not participate.

The interviews were informal conversations aimed to”give voters an idea of who the candidates are and what their message is to the community.”

Peterson asked each candidate the following questions:

  • Why Are You Running For Selectmen?
  • Describe Your Involvement In The Community?
  • Why Would You Make A Good Selectman?
  • How Do You Like Campaigning?
  • What Kind of Feedback Is Your Campaign Getting Around Town?
  • What’s One Need The Town Currently Has& How Would You Address It?
  • How Do You Feel Things  Are Going In Town Right Now?
  • Why Should Voters Cast Their Vote For You?

The Wilmington Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 23, 8am to 8pm.  Bendel, Caira, Lavino and Miller are running  for two 3-year seats on the Board of Selectmen, which are being vacated by longtime Selectmen Mike Newhouse and Lou Cimaglia.
