WILMINGTON, MA – The Aleppo Shriners recently announced it will be holding “A Night of Hysterical Comedy: A Fundraising Benefit for the Aleppo Shriners Cycle Unit” on Friday, April 8, 7:30pm in the Shriner Auditorium’s FEZ Room. Doors open at 6:30pm.
Tickets to this “Boston’s Best Headliners” show cost $25. To order, contact Dave Iannelli at 978-500-1189. Cash bar and food services will be available.
According to the event’s flyer, four comedians will be featured.
Paul D’Angelo: Named Boston’s Best Comedian by Boston Magazine, Paul is one of the country’s top stand-up comedians. Paul has opened for over sixty internationally known acts, including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones, Tony Bennett, The Beach Boys, George Carlin, and Dennis Miller. He has entertained hundreds or prominent corporate clients, including Ford Motor Co., Sony Music Corp., Hewlett-Packard Corp., Nike-Bauer International, Fidelity Investments, and the Burger King Corp. Paul is currently co-starring in the movie “The Godfather of Comedy,” appearing on Showtime.
Joe Espinola: Joe Espi started on the Boston comedy scene in 2006. His self-deprecating style along with his heavy sarcasm has made him a local favorite. Audiences enjoy how he jabs at his childhood, dysfunctional family, and disastrous dates. People seem to relate to his blue collar humor and his ability to be the punchline of a joke.
Chris Zito: Chris Zito has spent the last thirty years performing in Boston and Detroit, as well as countless comedy clubs all over the United States, sharing his obsession with his family to comedy fans and radio listeners all over the country. He became a mainstay of the early Boston comedy scene, and has made appearances on Comedy Central, USA Network, A&E, and NESN. Zito is a well-known radio personality in New England, currently hosting “Zito and Kera in the Morning” at Mix 93-1 on iHeartRadio.
Christine Hurley: This past November, Christine Hurley performed at the TD Bank Boston Garden at the 21st annual “Comics Come Home” show hosted by Dennis Leary. Also on the show was Ray Romano, Louis CK, Lenny Clarke, Steven Wright and others. Christine is considered to be “The Queen of Boston.”
