5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (April 2, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Saturday, April 2, 2016.

#1) The Town’s Annual Rabies Clinic will be held from noon to 2pm at the Public Buildings Department (30 Church Street). The clinic is exclusively for pets belonging to Wilmington residents. Dogs must be brought on a leash. Cats must be brought in a carrier. There is a $10 fee per pet. During the Rabies Clinic, the Town Clerk’s Office will be present to process 2016 Dog Licenses. License costs $10 for spayed/neutered pets and $15 for non-spayed/non-neutered pets. There is a late fee of $15 for all dogs licensed after April 15, 2016.

#2) The Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) is hosting the Hot Tub & Swim Spa Blowout Expo from 10am to 8pm. Learn more HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE events today — Writing Group (9:15am-11:15am); Baby Times (9:30am-10:15am); and Dads & Donuts (10:30am-11:30am).  Learn more and, if necessary, register HERE.

#4) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less!  Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Food Pantry (142 Chestnut Street) is open from 10am to noon for food donation drop-offs. Learn which food items the Pantry is most in need of HERE.

PLUS: Free Tax Preparation is being offered to Wilmington seniors by AARP volunteers at the Reading Municipal Light Department Building (rear), 230 Ash Street, Reading on a walk-in basis, with no appointment needed, Saturday mornings from February 6 through April 9, 2016.

PLUS: The Town’s Yardwaste Center, located off Old Main Street at the Wilmington/Woburn line, is open for leaf and brush drop-off from 9am to 4pm. Learn more HERE.
