WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a list of FREE upcoming programs for adults, teens and kids at the Wilmington Memorial Library.

Registration begins 30 days prior to the event. Please register online using our Calendar of Events at http://www.wilmlibrary.org or by calling (978) 694-2099 (for Adult) or (978) 694-2098 (for Children/Teen). Please note we request registration for programs that are marked (RR). Thank you to the Friends of the Library for funding support for library programs!

Adult Programs:

Writing Group *RR
Saturday, April 2, 9:15 am-11:15 am *RR
If you love to write and seek input and accountability, then join our writing group. Please bring up to five pages of written work to the meeting. Open to all genres and levels. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras.

Coupon Swap
Monday, April 4, 12 pm-1 pm
Bring and trade coupons. Learn to save! Drop in

Adult Coloring Group
Monday, April 4, 7 pm
Join in on the latest craze with our Adult Coloring Group. The group meets the first Monday of the month. No need to register, just drop in. Bring your own coloring books and pencils, or use ours.

Cookin’ the Books *RR
Tuesday, April 5, 12 pm
Featured Cookbook: Food52 Genius Recipes by Kristen Miglore
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this book group is for you. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy of Food52 Genius Recipes (or find a recipe from the book online), select a recipe, and then email your recipe selection to book club leader Lisa Crispin (lcrispin@mvlc.org). Bring your dish to the meeting, enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes, and enjoy the company.

Planting an Herb Garden (cost $15, limit 15)
Thursday, April 7, 6:30 pm
Register at the main desk
Plan to get your hands dirty! In this workshop you will plant a small herb garden using a selection of herbs, which can then be planted outdoors at the appropriate time in the spring. Suzanne Crooker, who works at Mahoney’s, will lead the workshop and share her knowledge of herbs and a few herb recipes as well. Herbs and pot provided.

Greeting Cards with Elaine Sousa (cost $ 5, limit 12)
Saturday, April 9, 1:30 pm-4:30 pm
Register at the main desk
In this workshop you will make two beautiful fancifold note cards with embellishments that can be personalized for a special occasion (Mother’s Day, Graduation, etc.) or left as general note cards if desired. Led by master paper crafter Elaine Sousa.

Drop-In Storytime
Friday, April 1, 10am
Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft! Space is limited, tickets will be distributed on first-come, first served basis. Ages: 2-5 and one or more adults.

Book Buddies *RR
Fridays, April 1, 8, 15, 3:45-4:45pm
This fun literacy program pairs kids with teen volunteers for one-on-one reading fun. In this three-week program, kids can practice reading or be read to, receive one-on-one attention from a trained teen, share a snack, and do a fun activity. Ages 4+

Baby Times
Saturday, April 2, 9:30am
Infants through 24 months
This program of songs, rhymes, games and picture books is for babies under the age of two years and their caregivers.

Dads and Donuts
Saturday, April 2, 10:30am
Dads and their kids ages 2 and up are invited to drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and more. Moms, grandparents and other caregivers are welcome, too! Ages: 2-5 and one or more adults.

Wilmington Community Playgroup
Monday, April 4, 9:30am
Drop in for a fun playgroup led by the CTI Family Resource Network. Ages 2-5

Art Adventures: Pamela Zagarenski: Collage Art *RR

Create your own collage in the style of illustrator Pamela Zagarenski. Grades 1-3

SAT Strategy Session with Princeton Review *RR
Tuesday, April 5, 6:30pm
Prepare for the SAT with this free hour-long presentation by the Princeton Review. Glean different techniques and strategies for taking the new test from a seasoned teacher. Grades 11-12

LEGO Building
Thursday, April 7, 3:45pm
Build a unique LEGO creation. Each month there will be a different theme. Kindergarten+

Teen Job Fair
Wednesday, April 20, 1:30-4:30 pm
Ages 14+
Learn about the job and volunteer opportunities for teens at WML’s 2nd Annual Teen Job Fair. Meet representatives from community businesses and organizations and pick up applications. Representatives from McDonalds, Panera Bread, Dunkin Donuts, Market Basket and more will be coming to this year’s Job Fair.

Poetry Contest
The theme of this year’s Annual Poetry Contest is “Community.” Theme ideas include Community Helpers, Your Neighborhood, Favorite Place in Your Community or Favorite Community Event. Applications are available at the library and online. The deadline to submit poems is Saturday, April 16.
