5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (March 31, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Thursday, March 31, 2016.

#1) Wilmington Public Schools, in partnership with the Wilmington Memorial Library, invite PreK-5 students and their families to the Title I Family Literacy Night from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Wilmington Middle School (25 Carter Lane). The evening will feature a presentation by award-winning author Melissa Stewart, followed by a book signing. Stewart has written more than 150 science books for children. Families are asked to register for the event HERE.

#2) The Middlesex Canal Commission holds its Annual Meeting at 3:15pm at the Middlesex Canal Museum (71 Faulkner St., Billerica). Read the agenda HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Memorial Library is running a “Jump Start Your Vegetable Garden” program with Farmer Dave at 7pm.  Learn more and register HERE.

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Thursday activities — Computer Class (9:15am); Art Class (10am); Aerobics (10:30am); Knitting/Crocheting (11am); and Games Day (1pm).  Learn more HERE.

PLUS: The Merrimack Valley Chorus is holding its weekly open rehearsal at 7pm at the Wilmington Arts Council (219 Middlesex Avenue). Do you like to sing? Do you enjoy performing? Come to a rehearsal and sing with the group! You just might discover a passion for a cappella singing, and you’ll also make some great new friends.
