POLICE LOG for March 21: Drunk Driver; Theft At Cemetery; Stolen License Plate; Bird Saved

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are ELEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, March 21, 2016:

  • A gray 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan and a green 1998 Honda Accord were involved in a crash on Ballardvale Street. No injuries noted. (6:19am)
  • A white 1995 Chevy GMT and a green 2011 Toyota Camry were involved in a crash in the North Intermediate School’s back parking lot. One vehicle was towed. No injuries noted. (8:23am)
  • A bird got trapped in the ATM room of the People’s United Bank on Main Street. Animal Control Officer got the bird free. (8:23am)
  • A caller reported his vehicle was stolen from the MBTA’s North Wilmington parking lot sometime since Sunday at 11:15am.  Caller called back to report his sister had picked up his car and was not a theft. (8:37am)
  • A blue 2013 Chevy Silverado and a blue 2008 Ford Focus were involved in a crash at Lowell Street and Woburn Street. One driver received a citation for failure to use care in stopping. No injuries noted. (11:30am)
  • A caller reported stones and shells that had been outlining family plot in the Wildwood Cemetery were removed. Caller spoke to cemetery grounds crew who stated they did not remove. (11:51am)
  • Owner of a blue 2016 Kia 4D Rio reported their license plate missing. (1:43pm)
  • Donna F. Feller (57, Wilmington) was issued a summons for OUI Liquor (2nd Offense) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Her vehicle went off road on Main Street and she attempted to drive on multiple flat tires. (4:30pm)
  • A Deming Way resident reported receiving multiple suspicious voicemails over the last few days from people claiming to be from the IR. (5:09pm)
  • Police retrieved a hypodermic needle on the sidewalk at Glen Road and Drury Lane. (7:10pm)
  • A caller reported a manhole cover is damaged and open in front of Sherin Williams on Main Street. Police notified Verizon to address. (7:39pm)
