OBITUARY: George E. Bellefontaine, 69

HUDSON, NH — George E. Bellefontaine – 69 of Hudson, NH and formerly Wilmington and Somerville, March 20, 2016 died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on Jan. 4, 1947, son of the late George and Frances (Carroll) Bellefontaine. Beloved husband of Mary Ann (Rogers) Bellefontaine of 39 yrs. Devoted father of George E., III and Sarah A. Bellefontaine. Brother of the late Joseph Bellefontaine and his surviving wife Mary of Watertown, the late Mary Lou (Bellefontaine) Lanzoni, and her late husband Fred of Reading. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and loving friends.

George was raised and educated in Somerville, Mass and later attended college in S. Dakota. George was a salesman for 25 yrs. with the Reynolds & Reynolds Co., where he was a top salesman. George’s many passions in life included his love of fishing, cooking, spending time in his vacation home in Ft. Myers Florida, where he was an avid golfer, and poker player. He was also a passionate sports fan, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. George will be remembered by all for his great sense of humor, outgoing personality, and most of all for his big heart. George will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Tuesday morning at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford Street, Somerville, MA at 10am. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Monday 4-8pm.
