POLICE LOG for March 17: Stabbing At Town Park; Train Conductor Assaulted

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, March 17, 2016:

  • A MBTA commuter rail conductor reported he was assaulted by a black male, approximately 25, wearing jeans and a black sweatshirt. Police responded and arrested Willie Ward Jr. (26, Boston) on assault and battery on a public employee and trespassing on the railroad tracks. (7:15am)
  • Police notified Reading Light that a pole on Eames Street appeared to have been clipped and shifted. (8:30am)
  • Michael Mass (41, Wilmington) was arrested on warrants (marked lanes vilation and operating with a suspended license). (12:00pm)
  • Police handed out a citation to a driver for a child safety seat violation in the Lucci’s paring lot. (1:01pm)
  • Sean Malone (33, Wilmington) was placed in protective custody. Police noticed erratic behavior and pulled him over on Main Street. (5:09pm)
  • A bag of hypodermic needles were found in the Target parking lot. Police retrieved for destruction. (6:10pm)
  • Ibrahim Ali (25, Lowell) was arrested for assault and battery with a deadly weapon. Ibrahim allegedly stabbed an individual at Town Park (April Field) on Main Street. Police received a call from the emergency room at Lowell General, who was treating the victim. (7:12pm, 10:40pm)
