WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, March 16, 2016:
- A caller reported another drive threatened him. The caller had thrown a sandwich at the other driver’s vehicle after he cut him off. The other driver then called the caller (his phone number was on the box truck he was operating) and threatened a physical assault. Police told the caller to come to the police station. Police eventually spoke with the both parties and determined the incident happened in Burlington. Parties were directed to follow up with the Burlington Police Department. (11:45am)
- A green 2005 Toyota Camry drove off the highway into the woodline prior to Exit 41 on 93 North. State Police was notified. Fire Department and Action Ambulance responded. Unknown injuries. (2:59pm)
- Danvers Police requested a well-being check on an employee of a Wilmington business. Police spoke with the employee’s manager. Manager said the employee hasn’t come to work in a week, but has sent text messages in the last day. Wilmington Police reported back to Danvers. (6:35pm)
- A white 2016 Chevorlet Express and a black 2008 Chevy Silverado were involved in a crash at Glen Road and Lawrence Street. No injuries. One vehicle towed. (10:12pm)
- Police received two calls regarding a FedEx Truck driving erratically down Main Street and Shawsheen Avenue. Truck crossed over into Billerica. Billerica Police was notified. Wilmington assisted with the traffic stop on Gray Street in Billerica. Billerica handled the incident. No further details. (11:25pm)
