POLICE LOG for March 15: Police Assist Tewksbury With Search For Robbery Suspect; Drag Racing

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, March 15, 2016:

  • Police received two calls regarding fireworks on Alice Avenue. Police were unable to locate any fireworks. (12:59am)
  • A blue 2004 Subaru Forester and a white 2015 Kia 4D Optima were involved in a crash on Route 125. Both drivers refused medical attention. (8:19am)
  • Police issued a citation to a driver for “creating gridlock” on Ballardvale Street. (8:43am)
  • Wilmington Police assisted Tewksbury Police in locating a suspect involved in an armed robbery at Tedeschi’s earlier in the morning. Suspect was eventually captured. (Learn more HERE.) (9:48am)
  • A walk-in party reported that his parents had trees removed from their property several weeks ago. The company left behind a utility trailer are moving its license plate. Police contacted the owner, who will remove the trailer tomorrow. (1:23pm)
  • Police responded to a call of drag racing in the Jonspin Road area. Man admitted to driving erratically and was advised to stop. No damage was done to any property. (8:03pm)
  • A Polk Street caller reported a possible scam phone call involving someone calling to help him with his computer and requesting lots of information.(11:09pm)
