WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, March 14, 2016:
- Dawn O’Brien (45, Wilmington) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license (habitual offender status); marked lanes violation; no inspection sticker; giving a false name to a police officer; and three outstanding warrants. (1:25am)
- A caller reported 12 “United We Stand” flag signs were taken near the 93 North Exit 40 ramp sometime since February 27. (10:35am)
- Bridge L. Bacigalupo (30, North Reading) was arrested on an outstanding warrant (conspiracy to violate drug law), possession of a Class A drug, and a possession of a Class B drug. Woman was arrested after an officer was flagged down on Salem Street and advised a woman was walking in the area who wasn’t dressed for the waether. (12:59pm)
- Animal Control Officer retrieved a deceased beaver from the roadway on Lowell Street. (3:24pm)
- A caller reported a child walked in to the Learning Experience childcare center alone. Caller walked the child back outside to locate a parent and would like an officer to respond. Police responded. Father thought the childcare center was an indoor playground so he sent his son in to play while he ordered from Sonic. (3:25pm)
- A tractor trailer struck traffic lights at the intersection of Shawsheen Avenue and Hopkins Street. Both walk signals were taken out and one of the traffic signals were turned the wrong way. Electric Light company was notified. (3:45pm)
- James Merrill (21, North Reading) was issued a summons for leaving the scene of property damage. Merrill’s vehicle struck a pole on Glen Road. He left the scene in another vehicle. (6:26pm)
