Winter Storm Warning Issued For Wilmington For Sunday & Monday

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington is under a Winter Storm Warning from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning.

Highlights of the warning include:

  • 4 to 8 inches of heavy snowfall is possible.
  • Snow will begin mid-to-late Sunday afternoon with the heaviest snow after sunset through Sunday night.
  • Snow will taper off early Monday morning.
  • Roads will quickly become snow covered.

The National Weather Service issues a winter storm watch when there is potential of accumulating snow of 6 or more inches in a 12-hour period, or 8 or more inches in a 24-hour period.

Anyone traveling in the next 24-36 hours should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to modify travel plans.
