WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TWELVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, March 12, 2016:
- A mailbox was knocked over on Mink Run Road. (2:26am)
- A gray 2006 Jeep, a gray 2008 Toyota Camry and a gray 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse were involve in a crash – with an injury – on the 93 North Exit 41 ramp. Fire Department and State Police handled the scene. (3:05am)
- A Lockwood Road caller reported a dark color SUV driving around the area. Caller stated party was getting out of the car and looking at houses with a flash light. Police stopped the vehicle on Longview. Situation checked OK. Driver was delivering newspapers. (3:53am)
- A caller reported a bobcat walked by on Randolph Road. (9:25am)
- Police responded to a verbal dispute between a Salvation Army employee and the owner of the property next door over parking. (12:04pm)
- John P. O’Connell (23, Wilmington) was issued a summons for using a motor vehicle without authority. (2:29pm)
- Market Basket held several shoplifters. Police advised parties to leave store and not return or be subject to arrest. Management did not want to pursue anything further. (2:52pm)
- Police assisted the Fire Department with a brush fire near the Boutwell School. (3:12pm)
- A walk-in party reported his vehicle was struck in the parking lot at Anytime Fitness on Lopez Road on March 8, causing $3,000 worth of damage. (3:54pm)
- A Salem Street caller reported someone threw a beer bottle at her vehicle. Police responded. Bottle did not damage vehicle and is believed to be random littering. (5:50pm)
- A Lt. Buck Drive homeowner reported a delivery driver drove over his lawn and caused damage. (7:27pm)
Jorge A. Izaguirre-Quiroz (19, Chelsea) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to stop. (9:54pm) - Police received report of a fight between a male and female inside a vehicle at Simards. Police responded. Situation checked OK. Passenger was intoxicated and was trying to exit the vehicle. (11:59pm)
