WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, March 10, 2016:
- Michael Murphy (35, Swansea) was arrested on a warrant. An employee at Dunkin Donuts on Middlesex Avenue reported a white male sitting in the parking lot collecting cigarette butts. He approached her and asked for a light. She did not want to open the store until he left. (4:10am)
- A Lockwood Road resident reported an unoccupied vehicle parked in the street all morning. It appeared to have a blown tire. Police responded and found the car had a not e attached. Note read that operator would return after work with a tow truck. (12:07pm)
- Colleen Haggerty (64, Wilmington) was arrested on a warrant for operating after a suspended license. USPS employee requested a well being check of home after excess mail was building up in the mailbox. (2:10pm)
- Police received a report of a stolen cell phone from the high school. (5:30pm)
- A Hopkins Street resident reported someone went into their fenced-in yard and attempted to gain access to their residence. Individual was gone by the time police arrived. (10:50pm)
