POLICE LOG for March 9: Wilmington Man Arrested On 2nd OUI; Stolen UPS Package; Scam Call

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, March 9, 2016:

  • Justin A. Goulet (33, Manchester, NH) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, and speeding. (2:18am)
  • Employee from Milestone Group Home called to report a missing juvenile voluntarily returned to the program. The juvenile was NOT entered as missing and there is no record of anyone coming to the station to file missing person’s paperwork. (7:01am)
  • A blue 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and a gray 1998 Toyota Camry were involved in a minor crash at Grace Chapel on West Street. No injuries reported. (7:09am)
  •  Christopher Gill (39, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI (second offense). (8:28am)
  • A sick raccoon on Pouliot Place was put down by the Animal Control Officer. (9:30am)
  • A Brentwood Avenue resident reported a package delivered by UPS on February 18 was taken from his front steps. (2:12pm)
  • A Salem Street caller reported railroad crossing gates keep going down every 2-3 minutes and stay down for a few seconds then go back up. Police notified Keolis (MBTA). (2:56pm)
  • A Grove Avenue caller received a scam phone call from someone claiming to be from Camden County NJ jail claiming to have her grandson and looking for bail money. (3:36pm)
  • A juvenile turned in a cell phone found next to a bench at Town Beach. Police contacted owner. (3:55pm)
  • A gray 2011 Toyota Corolla struck a mailbox on Summer Street. Homeowner was notified and chose not to file a report. (9:42pm)
