PHOTO OF THE DAY: Wilmington Church’s 30-Hour Famine Raises $7,000 (And Lots of Ramen)

WILMINGTON, MA — According to its Twitter page, this weekend’s 30-Hour Famine at the Wilmington United Methodist Church raised more than $7,000, plus more than 5,500 servings of Ramen noodles which will be donated to local food pantries.

More than 90 children and 40 adults participated in the annual event.  These 130+ individuals fasted for 30 hours and volunteered at area shelters, soup kitchens, food pantries, nursing homes, and the Lowell Wish Project support center.
