WILMINGTON, MA — After being in business for less than a year, Two Men and a Truck had outgrown its Woburn space. It packed up and moved to Cummings Properties’ 260-A Fordham Road location in Wilmington last fall.
The company recently celebrated its one-year anniversary and is now settled in its renovated 7,000-square-foot open office, which is headquarters for the Greater Boston franchise of the national moving company.
Two Men and a Truck and Cummings Properties share a common core value: to give back in the communities where employees live and work, according to account manager Shannon Haines.
Living up to its company tagline, “Movers Who Care,” Two Men and a Truck — which has a full-time staff of more than 35, a seasonal staff in excess of 100 and 17 trucks in operation — partnered with many local nonprofits since arriving in Massachusetts.
“We have been growing quickly, and we strive to be leaders in our industry as well as our community,” said franchise owner Brian Stern. “We have a unique set of tools to which many organizations need access.”
One day a month, the company prepares and delivers meals for Rosie’s Place in Boston. A few times a month, Two Men and a Truck teams assist Mission of Deeds in Reading in delivering donated furniture.
“Fordham Road’s convenience to routes I-95/128 and I-93 and its proximity to Boston and Logan Airport make it a desirable spot for Two Men and a Truck’s headquarters,” said Haines.
“We love our new location. We have ample room now to execute a training program for our growing team and to expand in the future,” said Stern.
