POLICE LOG for March 2: Lots of Car Accidents, Bruins Locker Room False Alarm, 1 Arrest

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are ELEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, March 2, 2016:

  • A gray 2013 Ford C-MAX and a gray 2004 Chevy Silverado were involved in a crash in the Speedway parking lot. No injuries reported. One vehicle was towed. (6:26am)
  • Burglar alarm in the Bruins locker room at Ristuccia Arena was accidentally set off. (7:07am)
  • Animal Control Officer retrieved a feral cat and transported it to the Lowell Humane Society. (8:22am)
  • An Aldrich Road caller reported sometime Monday night into Tuesday mornign, her mailbox was struck by a vehicle. (10:14am)
  • Police witnessed 3 mattresses in the roadway on Grove Avenue. Police notified DPW. Neighbor noted the mattresses had been leaning against a fence for the past 3-4 days. (11:49am)
  • High School student advised School Resource Officer that he was bumped by a passing vehicle at approximately 7:15am this morning at King Street and Glen Road. Vehicle did not stop. (1:43pm)
  • A gray 2011 Ford 4D and a brown 1999 GMC Yukon were involved in a crash on Main Street near Market Basket. Injuries were noted, but both parties refused transport.  Both vehicles were towed. (5:57pm)
  • Police assisted in restoring the peace with an unruly customer at Pearl Vision on Main Street. Customer was angry over the store’s return policy. (6:34pm)
  • A missing juvenile was reported from the Milestone Group Home on High Street. Juvenile was quickly located. (7:10pm)
  • A gray 2009 Ford Focus struck a hydrant on Salem Street. No injuries noted. Vehicle was towed. Some bushes were also damaged. Police notified the Water Department. (9:44pm)
  • Brian Ashley (37, Billerica) was arrested on unspecified federal charges. (10:15pm)
