POLICE LOG for February 29: Hit & Run At Market Basket; Argument at Middle School

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TWELVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, February 29, 2016:

  • A caller reported a gray/white cat deceased on the side of the road on Chestnut Street. Police notified Animal Control. (12:22am)
  • A red 2006 Mazda SE was repossessed in the area of Dunkin Donuts on Main Street. (6:07am)
  • A gray 2007 Ford Edge and a gray 2014 Toyota Rav4 were involved in a crash at Shawsheen Avenue and Aldrich Road. No injuries reported. Only minor damage. (7:21am)
  • A resident reported identity theft via a phishing scheme at his place of employment. (8:34am)
  • Animal Control Officer euthanized a raccoon “acting weirdly” in the middle of the road on Randolph Road. (9:03am)
  • A caller reported her car was hit in the Market Basket parking lot. The other car left the scene. Store manager obtained picture of other car’s license plate. (1:16pm)
  • Animal Control Officer retrieved a deceased muskrat on the sidewalk of Burlington Avenue. (2:32pm)
  • An Ox Bow Drive caller reported she was receiving IRS scam calls. (4:59pm)
  • Lawrence Dingle (34, Arlington) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. Vehicle was towed. Police confiscated the operator’s license and license plates. (5:26pm)
  • A caller reported his tire was vandalized on Friday night while at work. He found his tire flat with 3 nails in it. (6:39pm)
  • Police responded to some sort of argument between two parents at Wilmington Middle School. (6:57pm)
  • Female advised not to put solo cups in the chain link fence near Route 62 and the 03 North Exit 40 on-ramp. (10:00pm)
