WILMINGTON, MA — Here are ELEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, February 24, 2016:
- John J. Mastropietro (30, Wilmington) was placed in protective custody. He was pulled over on Main Street and his vehicle was towed. (12:06am)
- Shady Lane Drive caller reported a female had been in the area for the past 15 minutes, pulling in and out of driveways. Police located the vehicle and spoke with the party, who was delivering newspapers. (4:57am)
- A suspicious suitcase was left in the parking lot of Cummings Property on Concord Street. Police responded. Suitcase was empty. (8:00am)
- Police installed more than 5 car seats during the day.
- A Gearty Street caller reported an IRS scam call. (1:31pm)
- Sandy Sanchez (28, Medford) was arrested for distribution of Class A drug, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and resisting arrest. (2:44pm)
- Daniel Perez Melo (29, Hyde Park) was arrested for distribution of Class A drug (x2), distribution of Class B drug, possession to distribute Class A drug, conspiracy to violate drug laws, resisting arrest, misleading police officer, negligent operation of motor vehicle speeding, failure to stop for police, failure to stop. (2:44pm)
- A Horseshoe Lane resident reported credit card fraud. (2:59pm)
- A deceased fox on the sidewalk on Wildwood Street was removed. (3:35pm)
- A Shell Gas Station manager reported possible ID theft after customer used credit card at pump. (4:25pm)
- Charles River Lab employee reported attempt to cash fraudulent check. (5:03pm)
