POLICE LOG for February 22: Gas Station Vandalized; Quincy Man Arrested; False 911 Call

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are ELEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, February 22, 2016:

  • Christopher M. Carchia (36, Wareham) was issued a summons for making a false 911 call. Carchia called reporting flames showing from a water heater on Pouliot Place. Police investigated and found it to be a false report. (12:09am)
  • James L. Potter (36, Quincy) was arrested on a warrant of apprehension. (8:15am)
  • A Lake Street resident reported a wire hanging down into the street. Police moved phone wire from street and notified Verizon. (9:18am)
  • Manager at Shell Gas Station on Main Street reported vandalism to one of the gas pumps. (9:51am)
  • A Pouliot Place resident reported two men with laundry baskets going through recycle bins in the neighborhood.  Police investigated.  Men were looking for redeemable cans and  were sent on their way.(10:17am)
  • A brown 2013 Honda CRV and a green 2012 Hazda were involved in a crash at the 93 North Exit 40 ramp.  No injuries reported. One oeprator was cited for failure to yield. (2:49pm)
  • Police received two crank calls from Milestone Group Home on High Street. (2:53pm)
  • A hit and run was reported in the parking lot of Sweet Pizza on Ballardvale Street, with a parked vehicle losing a mirror. (4:20pm)
  • A missing juvenile was reported from Milestone Group Home. (5:21pm)
  • A Burlington Avenue caller reported he town trash barrel was struck and damaged. Police notified DPW. (10:29pm)
  • Police conducted a routine check of the Wildwood Cemetery. (11:31pm)
