POLICE LOG for February 18: Arm Stuck In Shredding Machine, Family of Foxes Under Shed?

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, February 18, 2016:

  • Police checked out a suspicious vehicle behind the Woburn Street School. 3 parties in the vehicle were identified as Milestone Program residents.  Milestone confirmed that three residents just walked out.  Residents were returned to group home. (2:48am)
  • Police assisted Fire Department who helped man who had his arm stuck in shredding machine at Lubrizol Advanced Materials on Lowell Street. (3:45am)
  • Police notified DPW that a “good sized” pothole was forming at Main Street and Richmond Street. (10:53am)
  • A juvenile was reported to be on the train tracks near Richmond Street.  Police advised the juvenile and was sent on his way. (11:09am)
  • A Jere Road resident reported receiving an IRS scam call. (12:17pm)
  • Wires were reported down in the street and sidewalk on Laurel Avenue. (2:22pm)
  • Police received report of a possible family of foxes living under a shed on Nichols Street. (2:45pm)
  • K9 Ridic assisted North Reading with a narcotic sweep on Park Street. (6:17pm)
  • Assistant Manager at Market Basket reported a couple of teenagers were outside the dropbox at Anton’s Cleaners and may have put something in it.  Police responded and everything appeared secure. (8:06pm)
  • Matthew Joseph MacInnes (32, Woburn) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. (9:59pm)
