WILMINGTON, MA — The Hope and Friendship Metastatic Breast Cancer Foundation is a non-profit volunteer organization in Wilmington. Their mission is to support and enhance the lives of women and men with a diagnosis of Metastatic Breast Cancer (Stage IV) and their families by offering support groups, resources for learning and networking, therapeutic activities, scholarships and creative retreats.
Resident Alaine Small is raising funds to help provide the Foundation with coloring books for its members as a form of therapy and relaxation. Coloring for adults has been found to be a huge stress relief technique and a form of meditation. Her goal is to be able to purchase 75 coloring books to donate to the Foundation!
In addition to the funds raised through this page, Usborne Books & More will match your gift with an additional 50% donation towards coloring and activity books. If the goal of raising $500 is reached, that means Usborne will make an additional gift of $250!
Every gift, no matter the size, will help bring us closer to our goal of bringing smiles to the faces those fighting cancer. Will you help us spread a little cheer this month and give a little something to ease the stress?
