POLICE LOG for February 13: Water Main Break; Suspicious Activity Outside Church

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, February 13, 2016:

  • Suspicious activity was reported outside the St. Thomas Church. Police investigated. Driver was “geotagging” and will be on her way shortly. (2:06am)
  • Police issued a citation to the driver of a brown 1999 Nissan Pathfinder for exiting the wrong way out of McDonald’s on Main Street. Driver had a Brazilian license and passport. (10:04am)
  • Police issued a citation to a driver for sending and receiving electronic messages and an adult seat belt violation. (11:57am)
  • Police notified RMLD of wires arching and sparking on Cypress Street and Christine Drive. (2:00pm)
  • K9 Ridic underwent training at the Senior Center. (2:33pm)
  • Police notified Verizon of a law hanging wire on Aldrich Road. (5:59pm)
  • Police notified on a water main break in the Fernbank Road/Mill Road area. Water was bubbling up across the roadway, with a sinkhole developing. Police notified the Water Department immediately. (6:23pm)
