Below is a candidate announcement submitted by Janet Vincze, a candidate running for the Republican State Committee in the district that includes Wilmington. She is being supported by Wilmington’s State Senator Bruce Tarr, among other elected officials.
Dear Fellow First Essex and Middlesex Voters:
My name is Janet Vincze and I am running for Republican State Committee in the First Essex & Middlesex; Senator Bruce Tarr’s district. I am honored to have my name on the March 1st Republican Presidential Primary ballot. I live in North Reading, where my husband Chris and I have raised our two children, Gabrielle and Kyle.
The State Committee is comprised of eighty members, a man and a woman, from each of the forty senatorial districts in Massachusetts. A member serves for four years. Member responsibility is to promote the aim of the Party, to work in cooperation with the Republican National Committee, city and town committees, and to help with nomination and election of local, district, and state Republican candidates. It is grass roots driven; a perfect fit for me. It’s what I love to do.
I am honored to have earned the endorsement of Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito. Senator Bruce Tarr, Representative Brad Hill, Representative Brad Jones and Essex County Sheriff Frank Cousins have also endorsed my candidacy. As your Republican State Committeewoman, I am committed to supporting and unifying our Party to ensure that we engage strong and qualified Republican candidates who wish to seek local, municipal or state elected office.
I will make sure that the concerns and needs of our district are at the forefront of every State Committee meeting. As your Republican State Committeewoman, I pledge to be a stalwart champion of our Party’s leader, Governor Baker, as he shepherds our Party and Massachusetts this term and beyond. I will work diligently with our current elected officials to help them execute their vision and message, in all matters pertaining to our district and state. I will actively recruit and work to secure the best Republican candidates to run for local/district/statewide office. And I will work in partnership with you and our city/town committees to improve participation and facilitate communication at all levels of the Party.
I believe it is paramount that as a Party we demonstrate the strength of our compassionate conservative principles through our actions and not just our words. I have campaigned and financially supported many local, state, and national Republican candidates. Early on in the 2014 Governor’s race I decided to expand my involvement and take my political volunteerism to a new level as a Regional Director of Women for Charlie. Women for Charlie is an organic, grassroots coalition of women with the purpose of electing Charlie Baker for governor. This incredible experience spawned my desire to take my involvement even further; to become the next State Committeewoman from the First Essex & Middlesex district.
I share Governor Baker’s vision to build a strong Republican Party for our district and state. And to that end, I humbly and respectfully ask any Republican or Independent voter pulling a Republican primary ballot on March 1 to vote for me, Janet Vincze, for Republican State Committee.
Sincerely,
Janet A Vincze
