WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, February 6, 2016:
- A Silverhurst Avenue caller reported a tree fell on her house and is pushing down on power lines. Police notified the Fire Department, RMLD, and DPW. (7:16am)
- A caller reported a tree limb is in the road on King Street, possibly blocking traffic. Police notified DPW. (7:30am)
- A blue 2003 Chevy Venture and a black 2007 Nissan Maxima were involved in a crash at Hopkins Street and Shawsheen Avenue. No injuries reported. One driver was cited for failing to yield the right of way and operating with a rejected safety inspection. (9:00am)
- A Kilmarnock Street reported getting egged sometime last night. (10:33am)
- An Avalon Drive caller reported her cat was hit overnight and requested to speak with an officer. (11:12am)
- Reports of low wires nearly touching the ground on Federal Street. RMLD was notified. (1:29pm)
- A large pot hole was reported on Richmond Street, just before Route 38. Police notified DPW, who sent someone to fill it. (1:43pm)
- A caller reported a car almost struck her son in the Wilmington Plaza. Police responded and came across the man and woman arguing as they exited the car in question and entered Panera. The two were actually arguing over the man’s driving. The man apologized for nearly striking the boy. (5:21pm)
- Nicholas Giangrande (28, North Reading) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration. (6:47pm)
- Susan Jean Cullinane (51, Billerica) was taken into protective custody. Police responded to complaints that Cullinane refused to leave private property. (8:15pm)
