WILMINGTON, MA — Thomas A. Heighton, age 84, a long-time Wilmington resident, passed away on February 9, 2016. Thomas was the loving companion of Margaret J. Ward of Lowell, he was also special to Michael J. Ward and Frederick J. Ward, both of Lowell, and Stacey Baudanza & her husband, Bob of Tewksbury. Thomas is survived by 3 loving grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Monday, February 15th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Veterans Section of Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, February 14th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Thomas’ name may be made to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Office of Philanthropy, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805. Thomas proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
