POLICE LOG for February 4: Box of Hypodermic Needles Found, Concerns Over Speeding

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, February 4, 2016:

  • A feral cat was released back into the Woburn Street area after being neutered and given vaccines. (12:30pm)
  • A Richmond Street caller reported a man walked out of the woods appearing dirty and disheveled.  Police checked the area and were unable to locate the man. (2:06pm)
  • Employee at United Tool requested more enforcement on Eames Street at the R.R. Bridge.  Caller stated vehicles are traveling well over the 20 MPH posted limit over the bridge and his employees have almost been struck pulling out of the lot on several occasions. (3:41pm)
  • A gray 2005 Toytoa Corolla and a gray 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit were involved in a crash at Lowell Street and West Street.  One injury reported, but driver refused transport to hospital. (4:46pm)
  • A motorcycle and blue 2014 Subaru Impreza were involved in an accident at Butters Row and Chestnut Street.  Motorcycle operator denied medical treatment. Both agreed to work out the cost of damage privately. (4:51pm)
  • A box of hypodermic needles was found on the ground against the curb on Main Street.  Police retrieved them for proper disposal. (8:20pm)
