WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Youth Hockey’s next Learn to Play Hockey session starts this Saturday, February 13th at 7am at Ristuccia Arena. Learn to Play Hockey is an eight week program for young skaters ages 4 to 9 years old that have never played organized hockey. These skaters must have some experience skating, including being able to stay on their feet. This is not a learn to skate program although basic skills will be used.
The program cost $120.
The schedule is as follows:
- Feb 13 – 7:00am – 7:50am
- Feb 20 – 7:00am – 7:50am
- Feb 27 – 7:00am – 7:50am
- Mar 5 – 7:00am – 7:50am
- Mar 12 – 7:00am – 7:50am
- Mar 19 – 7:00am – 7:50am
- Mar 26 – 7:00am – 7:50am
- Apr 2 – 7:00am – 7:50am

Full hockey equipment is required. Hockey gloves, shin pads, elbow pads, skates, and stick are all required. As is a certified hockey helmet with cage. Hockey pants are not a must, but are strongly suggested.
Rental equipment is available (Rental FEE $20) for new Learn to Play members. This includes: helmet, pants, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads and shin pads — all equipment comes complete in a hockey bag. Equipment not returned will result in a $50 charge.
When registering, you can indicate that you need rental equipment. Please bring cash or check made out to Wilmington Youth Hockey Association. Full program payment by credit card is due at the time of registration.
