POLICE LOG for February 3: Complaint Over Door-To-Door Solicitors, Branches Down

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, February 3, 2016:

  • Michelle A. Biarrio (46, Wilmington) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. (1:15am)
  • A caller reported a hit and run in the Market Basket parking lot involving a black 2014 Chrysler Town & Country. (11:44am)
  • A caller on Scaltrito Drive complained of a man walking up and down the street with a messenger bag, wearing a bright orange vest.  Police located two men on Royal Street fitting the description handing out flyers for Infinity. (1:26pm)
  • A Nichols Street resident reported mail missing from his mailbox. (5:53pm)
  • Police received complaint of a large branch in the road on Chestnut Street.  Branch was moved off the road, but branch and tree will need to be addressed by the Tree Department in the morning.  Police notified DPW. (8:41pm)
  • Police received complaint of a large branch blocking the sidewalk on Middlesex Avenue. Police notified DPW. (9:11pm)
  • Police received report that the railroad crossing gate at Main Street and Middlesex Avenue broke off and was lying on the side of the road.  Keolis responded to repair the gate. (10:06pm)
  • A gray 2013 Volkswagen Jetta and a black 2005 Chevy Cruze were involved in a minor car crash due to the train gate malfunction. No injuries. (10:30pm)
