WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, January 31, 2016:
- A Taft Road resident reported he believed two people just stole a 2003 black and white Yamaha Banshee quad out of his backyard. Resident further reported the quad was then loaded onto a trailer, possibly being towed a car. Police responded and put a BOLO alert out for the quad. (2:14am)
- A caller reported finding a needle on the sidewalk on Parker Street. Police retrieved the needle and properly disposed of it. (6:49am)
- An officer manager from an Andover Street business reported receiving three fraudulent checks with a total cost of $3,430. Checks were for work done in November. (12:44pm)
- Rebecca Roberts (21, Reading) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and having an uninsured motor vehicle. (1:02pm)
- A caller reported smoking come from the chimney at the Wildwood Street school. Police notified Public Buildings and the Fire Department. Caller called back and stated the smokey has stopped. Police asked caller to call back if things change. Public Buildings will follow up on Monday. (2:31pm)
- K9 Ridic had some training on Industrial Way. (8:10pm)
