WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Recreation Department just released information on its Maine day trip on Saturday, June 11, from 8am to 6pm.
The trip is described as followed:
“Today we are headed by motorcoach Down East to Maine’s enchanting seacoast. We begin our day at the When Pigs Fly company store in Kittery. This bakery uses all-natural ingredients to make old-world artisan breads fresh daily. They have enlarged the store to offer more products . Here is your chance to take home a taste of Maine!
Save your appetite because the next stop offers the best Maine treat – Lobster! We travel on to Wells, Maine for a five-course luncheon at the Bull and Claw Restaurant. Priding themselves on generous portions and scrumptious food, this is sure to be a hit.
Now that we have sampled what’s in the water, let’s head out on the water! Our last stop of the day will be the highlight – a fourteen mile round trip boat excursion from Perkins Cove in Ogunquit that offers unsurpassed views of York’s elegant homes, Nubble Lighthouse, and the rocky coast. Sit back and enjoy the view as you circle the seldom seen back of Nubble Light along with breathtaking photo opportunities throughout!”
The trip, arranged by All Around New England, costs $114 per person, with a $25 deposit due at registration. Final payment is due by May 6. Trip includes: Motorcoach Transportation; Nubble Lighthouse Cruise; Five-Course Luncheon; Stop at When Pigs Fly; Tour Director; and All Taxes, Tips & Gratuities
The bus departs from and returns to the Town Common Parking Lot (142 Middlesex Avenue).
